Electoral register updates online

More than 7,000 people responded to our electronic canvass to update the electoral register.

Residents who provided their email address when registering to vote, or completing other electoral forms, received an email in July asking them to confirm their details were correct.

The email was sent to householders to help the council keep the electoral register up-to-date by using a secure online system.

People were asked to provide the secure codes provided to the named recipient of the email. It does not ask for other sensitive information such as bank, passport, or driving licence details, and you should always be wary of sites asking for this information.

Those who those who didn't reply to the email, or hadn't provided an email address, will be contacted by post in the usual way in late August/early September.
